PROGRAM CHAIR | AUCA TVOnly a few universities in Kyrgyzstan can boast of having a television studio fully-equipped with modern video production equipment. At AUCA you have the exciting opportunity to get behind the camera and gain practical experience in contemporary mass media production as you film your own news, commercials, and feature programs. You can learn a broad array of skills, from commentary and video production, script-editing and on-screen performance to TV station management. The studio also has its own film studio, called the "Green Room," where students can learn the basics of studio film production.
AUCA.TV was launched in 2007 in order to create an information platform on AUCA's campus to provide detailed information about events, news and activities at the University. This helps the university community and beyond to be better informed and aware of changes to AUCA policies and procedures.
AUCA.TV provides the means to inform, express and bring opinions, comments to students, faculty, staff, visitors and scholars.
One of the most imporant goals of AUCA.TV is to provide opportunities for students to gain excellent practical knowledge of journalism and specifically TV Journalism. Students with the theoretical knowledge have the chance to put "theory into practice". Students armed with knowledge, skills and real practicel experience gained at AUCA will be highly sought after by employers.
Becoming one of the first universities in Kyrgyzstan to have its own TV Channel, AUCA.TV with its fully equipped TV and editing studio, prepares to soar to greater heights in developing opportunities for creativity, innovation for future Journalists and media specialists. It is planned that AUCA.TV will be both informative and entertaining to all.
AUCA.TV has a crew of ten brilliant journalism students supervised by Syinat Sultanalieva and Dmitriy Dudnikov, AUCA.TV coordinator. These students make weekly news, programs and video stories about AUCA students and alumni.
