In 15 short years the American University of Central Asia has matured into one of the finest universities in the region and has outgrown its current space in the heart of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.  Plans are currently being finalized for the construction of a new campus, the first green, private construction project in Central Asia, which will allow AUCA to grow physically as well as in its liberal arts mission.   One of our two buildings in the center of Bishkek will be retained for our continuing education center, while our 1,200 students and 300 faculty will move to a new, 3-hectare campus that will foster the creative, flexible educational environment they deserve. 

The new campus is located 2 miles south of downtown Bishkek, towards the mountains.  It will consist of a central academic building, dormitories and a sports complex.  The buildings are in harmony with their location, look beautiful, and utilize space and energy with maximum efficiency.  The design of the main academic building provides students, faculty, and staff with public, private and collaborative spaces all under one roof.  As a result, the best part of the AUCA experience, our tight-knit community and concentration of learning, will be preserved and promoted.
