BIOGRAPHY

 

Nurbek Jenish is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at AUCA. He holds MS in Computing and Information Systems fromKyrgyzTechnicalUniversity, MBA fromAcademy ofManagement under the President of theKyrgyzRepublic, and MA in Economics of Development fromAustralianNationalUniversity. He has also got a PhD fromCentralEuropeanUniversity. His PhD thesis, titled "Essays in Open Economy Macroeconomics", dealt with modeling of monetary and fiscal side of new European Union Member during the process of their transition to the Eurozone, and studied choice of exchange rate regime in partially dollarized developing economies. The list of courses that have been taught by Nurbek Jenish includes: Intro to Econometrics, Econometrics, Statistics for Economists with Computer Applications, Mathematics for Economists, Time Series Analysis, Intro to International Macroeconomics, Economic Research: Papers Writing, and Senior Seminar. His research interests include modeling of monetary and fiscal policy interactions in developing economies, development economics and applied econometrics.
