EDUCATION

Ph.D. - credential issued by WES (World Educational Service) as an international scientific degree in Economics (#540719), 2005.

‘Senior Scholar in Economic Theory’ – a scientific title awarded by the National Supreme Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.  Certificate AIK # 000148, March, 2, 2000.

Ph.D. in Economics awarded by the National Supreme Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, (Dissertation was defended at the Scientific Committee of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic).  Diploma AIK # 000256, November, 9, 1995. 

Theme of the defended dissertation: ‘Transformation of Property Rights and Management in the Kyrgyz Republic within Transition to Market Economy’.

Diploma with Honor in Economics of Taraz State University, the Kazakh Republic, 1985.  Specification: ‘Economist’.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Associate Professor, Department of Economics, American University of Central Asia -

August 1999 - Present

Courses taught: Microeconomics, Labor Economics, Industrial Organization, Economic Research and Academic Writing; Microeconomics for Managers (for MBA), Macroeconomics for Managers (MBA) and Project Management (for MBA).  All the courses are taught in English.

Achievements: Change in Economics and Business departments’ curricula, some coordination of contents of courses among departments, inviting international professors, organizing international workshops for students and faculties of the university with invited professors.

Awards within the University:

·          Title: ‘Mrs. Mother’ (awarded by open voting of the overall university students - 2009);

·          Title: ‘Mrs. Mother’ (awarded by open voting of the overall university students - 2008);

·          Letter of Gratitude by the Student Senate (2008);

·          Thankful Letter from the university students on Thanks-Giving Day (‘We appreciate your work!’) 2008

INTERNATIONAL AWARDS, FELLOWSHIPS, TRAININGS

I won more than twenty international competitions getting research and teaching development grants.  Trainings, researches and development were carried out in the USA (four times with a semester length each), Scandinavia (Denmark – twice, Sweden – twice, Norway), Germany, Hungary, Prague, Italy, Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
