RESEARCH ASSISTANTS

Central Asian Studies Institute is keen to provide every opportunity for AUCA students to improve research skills and develop networks with experienced scholars. One of best ways to do this is to connect interested and motivated students to appropriate faculty member or visiting scholar working on a mutually interesting topic. With this in mind, CASI is developing a database of students, who are searching research assistantship opportunities, so that whenever CASI receives a request for research assistant/s, we have a ready pool of potential research assistants.

Given a prior consent of the department and agreement between CASI and relevant department, research assistants may be eligible for academic credits for research assistantship at CASI. Alternatively, students may be paid a small stipend, depending on the volume and nature of assignments.

For students:

If you would like us to have your details in the database, please fill the registration form at http://tinyurl.com/6fa4jcdWe will store your details, and contact you when we receive a matching request. Please keep in mind that all details will be stored only during 2011-12 academic year. If you would like us have to have your details in the following years, you will need to respond to the next call for applications in the beginning of 2012-12 academic year.

For faculty and researchers:

If you are working on a topic relevant to Central Asia and need assistance with your research, you may send us a request, and we will do our best to find a research assistant with appropriate research interests and skills.
