TAJIK

Nigina Umarovna Mirzoeva will be teaching Tajik this summer at the American University of Central Asia.   Born in Samarqand, Uzbekistan, Nigina Umarovna is Tajik by nationality and speaks native Tajik.  In 1998 she received her degree from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Dushanbe State Pedagogical University.  Since 1997 she has worked as a language instructor in secondary schools around Tajikistan, and from 2005 to 2009 she worked her way up from a regional trainer to the regional coordinator of the Internet Learning Center (ILC), being responsible for students and teachers alike.  The instructor has participated in regional and international conferences concerning such topics as the methodology of teaching English, citizenship and governance in the 21st century, and conflict resolution.  Nigina Umarovna worked in Bozeman, Montana, 2011 under the Teaching Excellence Achievement Program (TEA), and also participated in a Los Angeles-based conference regarding internet technology and education in 2004.  The instructor can also speak Russian, Uzbek and English fluently.
