“Garden of Fatima”: Elm Grove Tree Planting

In order to honor the memory of Fatima Khalil, a bright AUCA graduate and women’s rights activist who was tragically killed in a car bombing in Afghanistan, the Center for Civic Engagement initiated a tree planting activity in Elm Grove, Bishkek. The purpose of this tree planting is to create a “Garden of Fatima” that would perpetuate the name of Fatima Khalil, celebrate her life and would always remind the AUCA community about the beauty and importance of her work in the fight for women’s rights and empowerment.

“Fatima” club members will be participating in this event. However, everyone else who would like to join is also welcome!
