AUCA handed over computers to a rural school
The American University of Central Asia continues to provide aid to schools in Kyrgyzstan. This time, twenty computers were transferred to the Fedorovskaya Secondary School of the Zhayyl district of the Chui region.

The American University of Central Asia handed over 20 computers to the O. Tursumatov Ber-Bulak Comprehensive School located in Ber-Bulak village in the Alamedin district of the Chui region. The school was visited by AUCA President and Vice-President of Bard College Jonathan Becker and AUCA Vice-President Chyngyz Shamshiev.

Award to Bolotbek Shamshiev
Today, on September 1, by Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, film director, screenwriter Bolotbek Tolenovich Shamshiev was posthumously awarded the highest degree of distinction "Kyrgyz El Baatyry - Hero of Kyrgyzstan”.

AUCA expresses the condolences
On June 17, Murat Aliev -distinguished cinematographer of the Kyrgyz Republic, winner of the Toktogul state prize, died at the age of 72 after a serious illness. AUCA administration and community express the deepest condolences to Nariste Alieva on the death of her father. Nariste is a graduate of the AUCA journalism program, who later worked as a faculty member of the department.
