The Central Asian Studies Institute (CASI) is an international non-profit institution at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) which focuses on research, policy advisory, capacity development and project implementation.
CASI is the successor organization of the Tian Shan Policy Center (TSPC) which remained in existence between 2011 and 2019.
CASI aims to promote the study of Central Asia at the local and international levels and government institutions as the basis for improving the lives of people in new democracies.
CASI specializes in research on migration (internal and external), sustainable development and environmental protection, human rights, democratic governance, as well as history, arts and literature of Central Asia. Alongside the strong evidence based research and policy advisory, CASI organizes high quality trainings, conferences and events on pertinent topics in the region.
2019 UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report Launch. Migration, displacement and education: Building bridges, not walls

AUCA TSPC to train about 300 students and pupils on human trafficking
The Tian-Shan Policy Center (TSPC) of AUCA launched a series of training sessions on human trafficking and the risks of for students in Kyrgyzstan. The training series is organized with support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) / UN Agency for Migration in the framework of the Dignity and Rights project financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

TSPC AUCA presented its research on labor migration in Russia
The Tian-Shan Analytical Center (TSPC) at AUCA presented its study on labor migration in 2017-2018 at an international conference in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Participants discussed practices of violations and protection of labor rights of internal and external migrants in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Launch of the study on the implementation of the rights of Kyrgyz migrant workers in Russia and Kazakhstan
The Tian-Shan Policy Center (TSPC) at AUCA is presenting two-year study on the implementation of the rights of migrant workers from Kyrgyzstan in Russia and in Kazakhstan as part of the membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EAEU. The study was conducted in 2017-2018.
