Prerequisite: Prior completion of Beginner level (The applicant will undertake a test allowing to determine his/her level before signing up for this course. The test consists of written and verbal parts lasting about 30 minutes. The applicant has to come to the CEC Office during working hours in order to write it.)

Course objectives:

By the end of the course students should be able to:

1. Communicate in English in short routine conversations.
2. Ask and respond to simple and familiar questions.
3. Read a simple 2-4 paragraph passage about different topics.
4. Describe a situation, tell a simple story.
5. Recognize improvement in English reading, writing, and listening skills

Course requirements:

Exam Scores – maximum score is 100 points, passing score is 60 points.

Certificate – certificate will be provided to those who achieve at least 60 points out of 100 for exit exam.

Attendance and active participation are going to give an undisputable positive result. A number of absences can affect students’ progress. That is why close attention and responsibility as well as devotion are needed to go complete the course successfully.
