Inauguration of the new CTLT office

May 11, 2016

On May 4th the Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology celebrated the inauguration of its new office.

The AUCA Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) started in 2013 to support the mission and goals of the University in teaching and learning. The Center’s main goals are to enhance faculty professional development, support and encourage teaching innovations and use of new technologies, finding creative solutions to contemporary educational issues, and ensuring learner-centered approach in AUCA.

Thanks to the efforts of the President Dr. Andrew Wachtel, and Vice-president Dr. Chingiz Shamshiev, in April 2016 the Center has grown in size. Two staff members have joined the Center, which translates into expanded possibilities to offer better educational and technology services to AUCA faculty.  The Center new office has space for collaborative work for teachers.

Among the main tasks of the CTLT are the collaboration with faculty to improve course instructional design and curriculum development, strengthening of integration of technology into the teaching and learning processes, providing enterprise-wide instructional technology solutions, including support for effective learning, course, and programme assessment, conducting and supporting research within the AUCA community.

Furthermore, the Center aims to help build more cross-disciplinary courses or exchanges, and courses in partnership with associated universities.

The new office welcomes all faculty in room #201, phone: +996 312 915 000 (ext. 330, 331), email: ctlt@auca.kg.
