On Thursday, January 10, American University of Central Asia hosted the World Press Photo Exhibition in partnership with Media Policy Institute, World Press Photo, the Netherlands Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tadzhikistan.

The Scholarships and program opportunities for faculty and students were discussed during the meeting.

Chingiz Shamshiev, AUCA Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, awarded AUCA faculty and presented the certificates of appreciation to them along with the speech encouraging to academic career development.

AUCA Tian Shan Policy Center presented a study on the implementation of the rights of migrants from Kyrgyzstan in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Aidana Aitbaeva and Nadira-Begim Jeentaeva won the 3rd place in the contest of Art and Poetry of Chingiz Aitmatov by Bai-Tushum Bank.

During the one and a half hours, students and faculty watched the dramatic story. The film did not leave anyone indifferent, and its ending made many of them cry.
