  At the beginning of March, with the launch of the “Green AUCA" project, the initiators of the Center for Environment and Development (CED) and The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) AUCA called on all offices and departments of the university to join the initiative.

The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) together with the Center for Environment and Development (CED) within the framework of the “Green AUCA” have created a video instruction on how to collect garbage separately on campus.

The Center for the Environment and Development (CED) and the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) within the framework of the "Green AUCA" project announced a competition among the departments/offices of the university "The greenest Department".

The aim of the project is to improve the waste management system at the university by introducing separate collection and delivery of waste to recycling organizations in Bishkek.

CCE is looking for two active students who would be interested in helping out with various projects and initiatives both within and outside AUCA, particularly, with the upcoming project “Green AUCA.”

Open Society University Network is currently accepting applications for the Certificate in Civic Engagement. The application is open to first year, second year, and third year undergraduate students. Seniors are not eligible to apply.

On December 14, 2021, Jonathan Becker, Acting President of the American University of Central Asia and Vice Chancellor of the Open Society University Network, joined the showcase of students’ projects organized by AUCA’s Center for Civic Engagement (CCE).
