On October 9, the AUCA Library hosted a presentation of the book Prediction of Aivazidi. The event brought together students, faculty, and guests to meet the authors Roza Aitmatova, a public figure, writer, and sister of the renowned Kyrgyz novelist Chingiz Aitmatov, and Asan Akhmatov, grandson of Torekul Aitmatov.

Winner! Tolgonai Kozhokanova, EIFL Licensing Coordinator in AUCA, Kyrgyzstan, accepts the EIFL award for best usage of EIFL-licensed e-resources by scholars at member institutions of an @EIFL partner library consortium.

On September 24-26, the AUCA Library team attended the first stage of book-restoration training at the National Library of Kazakhstan in Almaty. 

 

On 18-22 August, the AUCA librarians Jyldyz Bekbalaeva, Tolgonai Kozhokanova, and Madina Kerimova attended the 89th IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) 2025 in Astana.  The World Library and Information Congress (WLIC), organized annually by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), is a premier international conference dedicated to advancing the profession’s commitment to providing high-quality library and information services and ensuring equitable access to information.

From June 11–17, 2025, the AUCA Library welcomed four visiting librarians as part of the OSUN Library Staff Mobility Fellowship. The fellows — Palash Bosgang (Bard College, USA), Adelina Barzachka and Radina Kitanova (American University in Bulgaria), and Win Zayar Tun (Parami University, Myanmar) — engaged with the AUCA Library team and actively participated in the “Academic Libraries: Trends and Innovations” conference, held at AUCA on June 12–13.

On June 12-13, 2025, AUCA hosted the international conference “Academic Libraries: Trends and Innovations,” bringing together over library professionals from Central Asia and abroad.

On April 23, the Library hosted an informative workshop titled “Legal Protection of Intellectual Property: Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights” aimed at deepening understanding of intellectual property rights among students, faculty, and staff.

AUCA Library is pleased to invite you to a screening of the documentary film "Ala Kachuu: kezek bizde" and a meeting with the filmmakers, Nurjamal Karamoldoeva and Sultan Usuvaliyev.

From March 17-21, 2025, AUCA Librarian Madina Kerimova visited the Central European University (CEU) Library in Vienna through the OSUN Staff Mobility Fellowship. This program offered valuable opportunities for professional collaboration and knowledge exchange.
