AUCA chess club hosted the AUCA Chess Championship 2025 chess tournament. Chess is an integral part of the culture at the university and this tournament showed great interest in the game among students, faculty and staff.

On February 5, 2025, the students of the Faculty of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) visited the accredited laboratory for testing food and agricultural products of Kyrgyzstandart as part of the course "Food Security, Nutrition and Sustainable Development".

From January 13 to 17, 2025, the AUCA Library organized a series of webinars as part of the event “Scholarly Communication Week: Research Publications in the Digital Age.”

Over three field trips, fifty AUCA students and a local community have received assistance in setting up the foundations of the future food forest.

 

 
The AUCA students of the Department of International and Business Law performed exceptionally well in the “EAEU Dispute Resolution-2024” competition. During the online stage held from November 29 to December 1, 2024, the students demonstrated strong knowledge of international law, secured fourth place among 23 teams from five EAEU countries, and advanced to the semifinals, which will take place in Moscow.

 

 
On November 12-13, 2024, Dr. Buğra Güngör, Associate Professor of International and Comparative Politics, and Dr. Görkem Atsungur, Associate Professor of International and Comparative Politics, Chair of the ICP Department, attended the 5th Annual CASNiG (Central Asian Studies Network in Germany) Conference at the Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO) in Berlin, Germany.
