Mr. Bholenath is an Instructor of the Law Division at the American University of Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. He teaches courses related to Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Human Rights Law, and others. He holds an Advanced LL.M. in Public International Law from Leiden University, Netherlands.
Mr. Bholenath employs discussion-based learning in classrooms. His goal is to encourage the critical legal thinking and problem-solving skills of students through discussion of past and ongoing international legal issues. In doing so, the students are asked to apply the relevant legal rules on a given situation and formulate arguments. Additionally, he puts emphasis on team work and often divide the students into groups to work as a team and come up with sound legal arguments.
