Dr. Meerim Djakypova is an Assistant Professor in the Economics department at the American University of Central Asia. She received her Ph.D. in Economics and Management of National Economy from the Presidential Academy of Public Administration (2023, Kyrgyzstan), a Master of Arts degree in Management from Webster University (2013, Austria), and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from American University of Central Asia (2011, Kyrgyzstan).
Dr. Djakypova joined AUCA in 2016 and teaches courses in Introductory Macroeconomic Theory and Intro to Economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She participated in the Istanbul Quantitative Lectures Summer School (2022, Turkey), the Regional Multi-Stakeholder working group meeting on The Challenges of Freedom of Religion and Belief and the Religious Practices of Migrants and Repatriates (2021, Kyrgyzstan), and several international scientific conferences (2019). She was also a participant in a knowledge-sharing program at the Center for International Economic Studies in Seoul (2015, South Korea).
