Asel Osmongazieva graduated from AUCA in 2021 from Journalism and Mass Communications Department. Right after graduation, Asel decided to get work experience, and currently, she is working for a non-profit organization that fights tuberculosis through various activities.

The Development Office is excited to announce that 40 students from Kyrgyzstan have been selected to participate in the virtual internship program: Social Media for Climate Activism.

Aziza Kanimetova graduated AUCA from the Journalism and Mass Communications department in 2020. After graduation, Aziza started an internship as a communication specialist at UNICEF. Upon successful internship completion, Aziza was offered to work at UNICEF as a Design and Social Media Consultant.

Aidana Bekboeva graduated from AUCA in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics. In 2018 Aidana won the Brain Ring Intellectual Tournament and got first place, which allowed her to study at AUCA with a full scholarship. Currently, Aidana is pursuing a Masters's Degree in Financial Analytics at the Stevens Institute of Technology in New York.

Igor Li graduated with a degree in Economics from AUCA in 2021. Upon graduation, Igor went on to pursue his master's degree at Central European University and then started working at Citibank as a Financial Analyst. In this interview, he shares the story of his journey to working in one of the top 15 banks in the world.

Farzana Abdilashimova graduated from AUCA in 2019 with a degree in Sociology. Upon graduation, she continued her academic journey by pursuing a master's degree at Central European University. Currently, she is holding the position of Project Officer at the Spotlight Initiative program, UN Women. In this interview, Farzana shares her favorite moments at AUCA and what was it like pursuing her career path.

Zhamilia Asanova graduated from Journalism and Mass Communication Department in May 2022. Right after graduation Zhamilia decided to continue her education and entered a Master’s degree program at the Corvinus University of Budapest. Zhamilia participated in a highly competitive Stipendium Hungaricum program and was among the top-selected students from all over Kyrgyzstan.

Karim-Aly Kassam, the Cornell University Professor of Environmental and Indigenous Studies in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, held a seminar at AUCA on December 16, titled  “A Methodology of Hope for the Climate Crises: The Role of Ecological Calendars”
