AKYN Project Manas Material Online
Material collected as part of the Analyzing Kyrgyz Narratives (AKYN) Research project is now freely available online. The project included the recording of six performances, nearly six hours in total, consisting of over ten thousand lines of poetry, by the esteemed manaschis Talatantaaly Bakchiev and Doolot Sydykov.

Pari Vatanshoeva is an AUCA Business administration student from Tajikistan who had experience in an exchange program and had a chance to extend her study in Poland. She believes that the AUCA exchange program will help her personal development and gain experience in a multicultural environment with people with different backgrounds.

Knowledge Day 2021
On December 13th, the AUCA administration headed by President Jonathan Becker conducted the Knowledge Day Ceremony. The Acting President of the AUCA, Dr. Jonathan Becker, and Dr. Nurgul Ukueva, the Vice President for Academic Affairs personally awarded the best students for their outstanding academic excellence with a President's List and Dean's List, respectively.

Seismic Hazards Training Course at AUCA
On November 3rd, students and faculty of the Applied Geology department joined the Kyrgyz Seismic Hazard Seminar taught by Prof. Ray Weldon from Oregon State University (OSU). The workshop is organized as part of a Central Asia University Partnerships Program (UniCEN) program that provides grants for universities in Central Asia.

CASI Literature Week: “Writing Central Asia in Russian: Language, Place, and Displacement in Post-Soviet Rusosphone Literature”, Dec 2, 17:00
Literature Week is a part of CASI’s Workshop on Literature and History. Supported by a generous contribution from Matthew Nimetz, the aim of the workshop is to create a community of junior scholars and advanced graduate students committed to studying literature and to applying literary tools and methodologies to the study of literary art in the Central Asian past.
