Minimal requirements to transfer from another university
This policy imposes the minimal requirement for the transfer to our department. Only if a student meets these requirements can she/he apply to transfer.
Students successfully transferring to TCMA will:
- Have a GPA 3.2 or higher.
- Have a TOEFL score equal to or higher than 480 (institutional TOEFL accepted).
- Have taken the following television, cinema and visual arts courses with a grade of B or higher:
- for those transferring to second year:
- Intro to Mass Communication and one (1) more mandatory course
- for those transferring to third year:
- Intro to TV, Cinema and Techniques and one (1) more mandatory course
- for those transferring to third year:
- Intro to TV, Cinema and Techniques and three (3) more mandatory courses
Application and assessment procedure
Our department accepts transfer applications once a year. The deadline for applications is the end of the Spring semester. Student should write the transfer exam (written exam – essay). The results will be announced within five days after the exam.
