STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Please state your reasons for applying to the chosen program of the American University of Central Asia, and how your studies at AUCA will contribute toward your life goals; also tell us what you feel most enthusiastic about and whether this has influenced your life in any way. Limit your statement of purpose to 700 words. Please attach your statement of purpose to this application.

 

 

ADMISSIONS EXAM SCORES

 

Official English Test Certificate (only one English test certificate must be submitted):

  • AUCA Test of English Language Proficiency or
  • Official TOEFL Certificate (paper-based or internet-based) – REPORT TO AUCA INSTITUTION CODE 0419 or
  • Official IELTS Certificate – REPORT TO AUCA INSTITUTION CODE 8306 FOR UNDERGRADUATE APPLICATIONS AND 8305 FOR GRADUATE APPLICATIONS

Official Admission Exam Results (only one exam certificate must be submitted):

  • AUCA Admission Exam or
  • SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I) – REPORT TO AUCA INSTITUTION CODE 5825  or
  • ACT Test Plus Writing – REPORT TO AUCA INSTITUTION CODE 5479

 

 

HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT

Copy of high school diploma or vocational education certificate or if currently enrolled in high school, a document from current school certifying that an applicant is in the final year of study

  • (Note: Upon admission to AUCA, the original copy of graduation certificate or diploma with appendix must be submitted to the Office of Admissions)

Official copies (notarized photocopies) of any and all high school and university transcripts / marksheets

  • (Note: Upon admission to AUCA, applicants who have graduated from educational institutions outside of Kyrgyz Republic must present a document confirming they have obtained the equivalent of the Kyrgyz Republic’s state diploma of secondary education, equivalent to 11 years of school. Upon arrival to the university, the document issued by the foreign academic institution and its notarized Russian translation (including transcripts / marksheets) must be submitted to the Ministry for Education of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to confirm the level and content of study completed. The Ministry will issue a certificate recognizing the applicant’s education, which should be submitted to the Office of Admissions to be kept on file).

 

 

PASSPORT COPY AND PHOTOS

Copy of passport information pages and for non-Kyrgyz citizens living in Kyrgyzstan, a copy of the Kyrgyz Republic visa page (international students must check in with the International Affairs Office within 2 days of arrival to submit copies of their Kyrgyz Visa and complete Ministry of Internal Affairs registration paperwork)

2 color passport-style photographs (3 x 4 cm – white background)

 

 

 

 

 

STUDENT VISA APPLICATION

The Students Visa and Registration Coordinator will help arrange for a visa to the Kyrgyz Republic. Visa support is provided to full-time students (24 or more credits per semester).

Citizens of a number of countries (please find the list of countries here) may obtain an ordinary visa upon arrival in Bishkek for up to one month at the Consular Point of the Manas International Airport without visa support from AUCA. 

To allow enough time for visa processing, international students are encouraged to apply at the earliest possible time before the beginning of the semester in which they wish to study. If you have any questions please visit the website of the International Student Office.
