Newly published Analysis of Human Rights Policy in the Kyrgyz Republic prepared by Tian Shan Policy Center

The Tian Shan Policy Center (TSPC) of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) is pleased to share its latest publication: "Respect and Protection of Fundamental Rights in the Kyrgyz Republic - Analysis to support the compliance of national legislation with constitutional and international human rights obligations". This publication aims to support the Kyrgyz Government and Parliament in drafting and adopting legislation that is in full compliance with human rights obligations. Specifically, the paper analyses the international and national legal obligations of Kyrgyz institutions with regard to the right to equality and non-discrimination, the right to freedom of opinion and expression, and the right to freedom of assembly and association. Additionally, it offers a number of recommendations for the integration of this analysis into national institutions and public policy.
