"Earthquake preparedness" training

On February 16, 2016, from 1 to 3 pm, the Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan will hold "Earthquake preparedness" training at AUCA. The training will cover how one should behave in the event of an earthquake and how to protect oneself and one’s family in the best way possible. The training will be lead by professional trainer Igor Kim.

The Red Crescent Society in Kyrgyzstan is a humanitarian organization operating within the whole territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. Red Crescent Society in Kyrgyzstan is a part of the worldwide federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent, which is represented in 189 countries and whose humanitarian mission is directed to the most disadvantaged groups of society. 

Earthquakes happen unexpectedly. Even nowadays, seismologists cannot predict the exact time an earthquake will hit. Skillful coordination of your behavior during an earthquake is crucial to minimizing injury during and after the incident.
