Kanaiym Kydyralieva is an Assistant Professor who coordinates and teaches in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Program. She took a moment to talk with us about what exactly is the LSCM program, what are its goals, and who are its partners.

- What is the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certificate Program?

The Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Program is an International Certificate Program offered to students by the AUCA School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA) in partnership with the Kuehne-Foundation, Switzerland. It consists of two elective courses that introduce students to the theory of supply chain management and develop their managerial judgement using the case method.

- What kinds of opportunities does the LSCM Certificate Program give students?

Upon successful completion of the program, students additionally to their degree credits, receive the Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management issued by the Kuehne Foundation. The best graduates of the program have a chance to participate in summer internships at leading European logistics companies. Six of the recent LSCM graduates will start their internships this summer in such companies as Kuehne+Nagel, DB Schenker, BLG Logistics and Röhlig Logistics.

- What is the LSCM Certificate Program’s main goal?

The goal of the LSCM program is to prepare students for the complexity of the roles of managers in the design and operation of various systems in a modern supply chain.

- Why did you decide to start the LSCM introductory course: "Supply Chain Management I: The Fundamentals”?

We decided start the course "Supply Chain Management I: The Fundamentals" in Spring 2017, because the first cohort of students is graduating the program and we would like to attract new students. This is the introductory course that provides the foundation of understanding the science and best practices of modern supply chain management.

- What kind of partners does the LSCM Certificate Program have?

The public-benefit Kuehne Foundation was established by the Kuehne family in 1976 and is associated with the world-renowned global logistics company Kuehne+Nagel, Switzerland. The Kuehne Foundation promotes training, further education, and research in the fields of logistics and transport worldwide.
