The first national moot court competition in constitutionalism “Adilet 2017” took place in AUCA

On June 1, the Law Division of the American University of Central Asia in partnership with the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and with the support of the USAID / IDLO Kyrgyzstan Judicial Strengthening Program, conducted the first national moot court competition in constitutionalism “Adilet 2017”.

14 university teams from the American University of Central Asia, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, the Law Faculty of the Kyrgyz National University, the Atatürk Ala-Too International University, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Kyrgyz National law Academy, International academy of law, finance and business participated in the moot court.  


Judges of the Constitutional Chamber and members of its apparatus served as evaluators and arbiters of the event. The main goal of the competition was to strengthen and promote the principles of constitutionalism, the rule of law and supremacy of law in Kyrgyzstan.


As a result of the moot court, the 1st place was taken by the team of the American University in Central Asia, the second place - the team of the law faculty of the Kyrgyz National University. The teams were awarded with valuable prizes, and the winners with a special cup "Adilet".
