Annual Student Symposium of the Psychology Department, AUCA

On October 24, 2020, twenty-seven undergraduate and master students had an opportunity to present their research topics at the Annual Student Symposium of the Psychology Department -“Research, Writing and Thinking in Contemporary Psychology” 

The keynote speaker of the Symposium was Elena Molchanova, MD, Associate Professor at AUCA shared preliminary results of the nation-wide survey on lockdown experiences of Kyrgyzstan citizens - “Corona thoughts, masks and aggression during quarantine in March - April 2020”.

The symposium was intended to create a platform where students could discuss and elaborate their research proposals and exchange their feedback. In addition, the important part of the event was the invitation to combine individual thesis projects and group projects that are being conducted in collaboration of the MA students with the Faculty staff.  The presentations of the students were divided into 7 panels: 

  1. PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING  
  2. KNOWLEDGE, PERCEPTION, BIAS
  3. WOMEN, GENDER AND SOCIETY 
  4. PANDEMIC AND SOCIETY I 
  5. SCIENCE OF RELATIONSHIPS 
  6. PANDEMIC AND SOCIETY II 
  7. GRADUATE WRITING CLASS PANEL

The best individual or group presentations were chosen in each panel by the members of juries from the faculty members of the program, the winners were awarded by the certificates of recognition at the closing ceremony.
