International Staff Training Week 2024 at the University of Marburg

International Staff Training Week 2024 at the University of Marburg, Germany
 
Ms. Aselia Umetalieva, Head of International Students Office and Dr. Görkem Atsungur, Head of Social Sciences, and Chair of the International and Comparative Politics Department were invited to attend the International Staff Week program organized by the University of Marburg in Germany within Erasmus+ mobility project on March 18-22, 2024.
 
The program focused on the Role of Higher Education Institutions in Fostering Sustainability Transformation – Different Places, Processes and Pathways. The main purpose of the Staff Training Week was among others to gain insight into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), to identify challenges and opportunities for international mobility in the context of sustainability, to discover ways to identify and establish local transformation and sustainability networks and of course also to network and share experiences with participants from Europe and around the world.
 
During this week, Gorkem and Aselia had an opportunity to present AUCA and share the experience as an institution developing the principles of sustainability in academics, research, community service and campus life, not to mention the expansion of networking for future potential partnerships.
