CALL FOR INTERNS: INTERNATIONAL ISSYK-KUL FORUM – 40

The Organizing Committee of the International Issyk-Kul Forum – 40 is looking for proactive, language-skilled interns to join our coordination team for the upcoming forum, scheduled for June 18–21, 2026. This PAID position, from April 1 to June 30, 2026, provides a unique opportunity to work at the crossroads of high-level diplomacy and international cultural exchange. Established in 1986 by the legendary writer Chingiz Aitmatov, the Issyk-Kul Forum is a historic "laboratory of ideas" that acts as a vital bridge between East and West.

As an intern, your primary duties and responsibilities will include drafting and refining official information letters and formal invitations to world-renowned international guests and participants. You will be responsible for multilingual translation, converting documents in English and Kyrgyz.  You will also assist in meeting coordination, including preparing agendas and managing meeting protocols.

Expected Qualifications and Skills for this role include 

  • Excellent written and spoken English and Kyrgyz communication skills are essential for drafting high-level correspondence and engaging in professional dialogue. 
  • Possession of a BA or MA diploma from a university in Kyrgyzstan or current enrollment as a senior BA or MA student is required. 
  • Candidates must have a strong ability to serve as a professional liaison during meetings with organizations, companies, and government officials. 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage complex itineraries under tight deadlines are also necessary.
