Mission and Learning outcomes

 

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower Master’s students in Anthropology and International Development to become thoughtful, skilled, and impactful professionals. Through a rigorous academic curriculum and hands-on research opportunities, we aim to deepen students’ understanding of social, cultural, political, and economic dynamics shaping contemporary global issues. The program is designed to strengthen their theoretical foundations, enhance their methodological expertise, and foster the development of advanced analytical and technical skills. Our graduates are equipped to engage critically with complex development challenges and contribute meaningfully to academic, policy, or practitioner settings across diverse cultural and institutional contexts.

 

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Anthropology program, alumni will be able to:

  • PLO 1. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of key concepts, debates, and theoretical frameworks in anthropology, with a solid grounding in related fields such as international development;
  • PLO 2. Critically analyze complex social and cultural phenomena across time and space using interdisciplinary approaches;
  • PLO 3. Independently design and conduct field-based research, selecting and applying appropriate anthropological methods in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
  • PLO 4. Analyze and synthesize diverse data to produce theoretically grounded, evidence-based research outputs suitable for academic and professional contexts;
  • PLO 5. Apply anthropological perspective to contemporary regional and global challenges, demonstrating ethical responsibility, reflexivity, and collaborative leadership in cross-cultural
    and interdisciplinary contexts.
